Pole-arity beginners classes
The Beginners Pole Dancing class will consist of basic spins, standing work and floor work. Please note there will be no pole tricks in this class. This Class is not a strenuous cardiovascular workout, but a basic degree of strength and flexibility is required.
As this course is progressive at the end of 6 weeks you will have a routine to take away with you and you will be able to adapt this to suit yourself with your new found body confidence. The beginners routine has been designed for people with little or no pole experience so you won't be expected to go upside down, but if you can then give it a try !!!
The emphasis of the class is on fun and making moves flow and work for you rather than having a strict choreographed and timed routine, but you'll find that by the end of the course you can work with the music and will even be able to put the routine to music of your own choice!
You may experience some bruising and muscle soreness after the class but the instructor will work with you to minimise this. Please don't wear any body moisturisers, lotions, creams or oils as this could make the pole become dangerous.
The correct clothing is important and bare arms and legs are needed so that you can grip the pole. A vest and shorts and either high heeled boots or shoes* will be appropriate and you will also need a pair of trainers for the warm up and cool down.
* although these are optional as you as can do the whole class in your trainers
